Thank you for the warm welcome

I am troubled with this reputation thing. Quite intimidating
Where can I read more about that?

    Hi

Mippus? Where'd that name come from?

Three of my cat's have been named Vooders, Scutter, and Hooters.

Vooders was originally named Junk Yard Dog, or Junky by the people we got him from. They were major wrestling fans. Vooders ended up being his nick name, can't remember where it came from as it was early in my childhood.

Scutter came from her original name of Butter Scotch, which I changed to Scutter Botch, then just took to calling her Scutter. Strange cat.. loved to play fetch and would bug you to turn the tap on so she could play with the water.

As for Hooters, get your mind outta the gutter His name came from my original cat Vooders, they're both male long haired black cats. Nearly identical but not, so I didn't want to call him Vooders, Hooters was the first thing that popped into my head so thats what I called him. Another strange cat, can't hear him purr but you can tell when he is because he drools like crazy.

My father has a Shiapoo named Sasha, tho, I don't refer to her as anything but Swiffer or Swiffer Wet Mop when they give her a bath, and often berate her for not doing her job when I'm over at his place and they have to vacuum or dust anything.

I don't want it, I just need it, to breathe, to feel, to know I'm alive.

Well, I can't remember how we found the "mippus" name. Officially (pedigree) he is called Aron, but since that is more of a human name, we found various alternatives of which Ronny was my favourite. And suddenly we started calling him Mippus. Beats me
Great catnames you found! I must say that I do like the idea of calling a cat "(junk yard)dog". Too bad you changed that one. But "Vooders" is intriguing enough

ENTP-fact actually. It did sound like some kind of animal name my INTP and I'd come up with, and the "zoo" I was referring is the little one in MBTIc - we have members here who take on animal personas. As I recall, at last count, we had:

    2 mice
    1 piranha (pink)
    1 magic seasponge
    1 raincrow
    1 kid
    2 kitties!
    1 hawk
    1 bohemian waxwing
    1 polar bear
    1 carebear
    1 wolf
    1 swan
    1 solitary penguin
1 mippus - new doggie species.

    +1 mempysian
+ 2 faeries: targobell and arcticangel
    + 1 alien creature: Zergling!

So you're in good company. .

I'm waiting for the kitty to come and in give you a rub. And the piranha to give you a nibble.
And an Owl! Don't forget the Owl. :steam:

Darn. I'd forgotten about the poultry. Maybe I have to start up a thread to get all the critters to register. Otherwise they're all over the pla..*looks underfoot* oh dear me. I've trod on a mouse.

What's funny is that the first thing the word "Mippus" brings into my mind is MIPS, which is short for "Millions of instructions per second." Was that what you might have been thinking of when you named it?
