    Arrow INFP is dooming me

I am glad to see a forum that might help bring some resolution to my male INFP typology. I am currently a missionary that will be working on producing a musical project for churches to use worldwide (sure sounds like an adventurous INFP, eh?)

I have difficulty knowing when I am overstepping my boundaries with helping others; often times I think I do more harm than good. Reality is hard to grasp and I am finding it more difficult as I approach the adult years (26). Everyone else seems to have logic and common sense...heck, I can't even tell you the directions to reach the convenient store down the road. Sometimes I wonder if being an INFP is selfish and I feel that this type is probably perceived as such.

Anyhow, it will be good to connect with some more male INFP's since I tend not to find any that I know of and I find myself drained of energy by trying to manipulate my type to fit the next person.

    I need help ;D

If you seek to aid everyone that suffers in the world, you will only weaken yourself … and weaken them. It is the internal struggles, when fought and won on their own, that yield the strongest rewards. If you care for others, then dispense with pity and sacrifice and recognize the value in letting them fight their own battles. And when they triumph, they will be even stronger for the victory - Kreia

Itcan be hard being an INFP male, you don't fit the mold. I know how it feels, you are not alone

it is at least helpful to know there are other MALE infp's in this world. I often get freaked out by myself and irregularity similitudes toward others...

we think a lot about our position in life. and it can often be perceived as selfish..
it can be difficult for us to say that we crave love and physical affection because we're men, and men are supposed to be macho..
we just need to be humble and resort to cryptic shit..

that is why i keep my mask on

Try being in denial. If you can convince yourself that you're not an INFP, you might be able to convince others.
