    Awesome!! I do that too.

I can't count the number of times I've been trying to work on something, and then a random thought crosses my mind that I just HAVE to look up.

Having information at your disposal 24/7 is such a double edged sword. Haha.

So do you throughly enjoy picto-chat, then? XD

I have a handful of existential books my friend sent me. Sadly, I haven't gotten to read them yet. But it is certainly an intriguing topic! Have you read Conversations With God or The Celestine Prophecy yet?

Plundering the dictionary is fun. And I have a mania for etymology that's pretty acute. Looks like we're all in good company, eh?

I grab different organic chemistry group names/prefixes and smash a few together in a google search to see what I get. Found a few proteins, some poisons/carcinogens... Lots of fun

PS: stay away from Benzyl thiocyanate

Do you like direct translation from language to language? I do that sometimes.

    Like.. English = suicide
    to German = selbstmord
    back to english = Self-murder

    Or English = vaccuum
    to German = Staub Saugen
back to english = Suck Dust

I also like making up my OWN etymology. Like..

    coincidence.
Spell it phonetically: Co-incidents.. two incidents that coordiante!

If nothing else it's good for making my friends laugh.

Oh yes! I love doing that! One word can go through so many changes from one language to the next, and acquire odd meanings like a hermit crab gluing stuff to it's shell!

And there's always room for making up your own words. Always! My present favorite is "despair-ilarity" to describe the eruptive humor that occurs when Jenny and I are under terrible strain and don't wanna laugh but can't help ourselves.

    Isn't quixotic an actual word?
