    Default Hello from another INXJ

In the online tests I usually score as an INFJ or INTJ and sometimes also as an INFP. I actually classify myself as an INFJ, but the problem is that I don't really think that my Fe function is stronger than Fi. Then again I probably use more Ti than Te... So I'm a bit confused. Something wrong with the theory, eh? Not that I'm an expert on scientific psychology though... I may also have made mistakes in my self-analysis.

Generally I don't like emotions and prefer the company of NT people. Still I'm pretty emotional myself, it's just that I appreciate self control and strength of character (+ intelligence) above all.

I think that my motivations in life are pretty NF-ish. I need to understand the world and people especially; what makes us act and think as we do, and whether it is possible to achieve a truth of any kind. I have an innate need to do something to make people live peacefully and happy and without harming the environment too much. I'm a kind of wannabe political activist, participating in many kinds of organizational workings.

I've been reading these forums for a while and wanted to register just to see if I might find something to comment on. English is not my native tongue so sorry if my language is poor.

Other than punctuation here and there, your English is commendable as a second language...especially in comparison to many native writers. Hi, back at you. It's nice to see someone else who runs back and forth on the T/F scale.

Welcome aboard! Hope you enjoy yourself here.

BTW your 'language' is fine. Better than my punctuation.

Hello, Murmur. Welcome to MBTI Central. Feel free to ask any questions you might have about MBTI or general psychology.

This is beginning to confirm my suspicion that INFJ's should be more confused between that type and INTJ, than that type and INFP. I mean, just look at the functional order.

You speak English well for a foreign speaker.

I have strong Ni and Ti, reasonable Fe (especially in person), but little Fi.

Hi Murmur!! You sound rather similiar to me!! :-) Online tests in recent years put me more often than not as INFJ, although years ago I usually tested as INTJ. I think the questions themselves in the tests are hard for me, though. For example, I used to consider myself cold and callous simply because I didn't like everyone. :rolli: In my mind, I thought 'F' meant I had to have compassion towards everyone I met...thus, I would answer 'T' because I thought I didn't have any feeling. ;-)

So...tests don't do much good for me, due to my own self-conceptions! My good friend, who knows me better than anyone, really, has trouble putting me in one of the 16 types!!!

Ni and Fi are excellent usage for me, with Te being limited, and everything else being average.

I like the idea of mbti, and see some definite practical aspects of it, in terms of simply recognizing that everyone is different.....but yeah, if the tests aren't terribly accurate, and it takes a lot of self-study to figure out what you 'really' are, and not many people fully grasp all the details of the system (including me)...then that kinda defeats the practical usage in my mind...

    But anyway, welcome!!

How about this, the average native English speaker writes worse than you.
