    Default INFP Distracted from Homework

Wait, a distracted INFP on the Internets? Hello, just wanted to introduce myself. I've been coming to Typology for several months, ever since I found out about MBTI, and figured I'd stop lurking and join in.

Actually I found out about MBTI when a coworker at my job said "Are you an INFP? You must be an INFP. You remind me a lot of my daughter, she's one. I'm an ENFP". And I was mad at first-wait, someone thinks I'm a "type" of something? How can you "type" the awesome individualness of me? So I took the test to prove her wrong in a sense but also because I do find psychology interesting. And sure enough, INFP. I keep retaking it various places, thinking surely I must just be an emotional INTP. But no. Very INFP every time.

I asked my mom to take it, and she did because she'd been complaining about our lack of understanding. Turns out she's very ISTJ. My whole feeling like a weird freak as a child makes sense now.

Anyway, I look forward to learning more about type on here and meeting some cool people.

    Welcome, Linguist.

    Where are you from?

I can relate to feeling like a freak child.

Thanks all! I'm from South Carolina, but I escaped for a bit to Chicago and D.C. Back here for more school because the real world was not so awesome with the schedules and the pulling levers and making widgets every day and such.

Hi! I lived in Charleston for a short while. <3 it there! Although its a bit warm sometimes. heh.

I understand the weird parents thing, ISTJ dad and ISFJ step mom raised me. ESFP mom was a little busy having fun in her 30s and lost custody. (I did get to see her on the weekends)

Welcome. The cool people are all out now. I'm just filling in.

Making widgets is fun, as long as you get to figure out how to make them better.
