    Default Hello

    Me first post. I'm from the bay area, CA but am living in NC now because I'm in the military. I'm a male and I'll be 21 in several weeks.

    According to the little test here: MBTI Personality Test: Understanding Your MBTI or Myers Briggs Personality Type... I'm a INFJ, and reading a few descriptions for that type it seems to be true. Are there any better/more accurate online tests I can take?

    But anyways,

    Here is the one that to me best reflects my temperament. Plus, all the scores are on a percentage scale, so it tells you how strong you are in each area. (and it's free)
    There may be better free ones out there, I'm relatively new to this, I'm sure someone here knows a better one than that.

    I'm not being critical, I'm just trying to make you a better person.

    Hello, TheBeatGoesOn. Welcome to MBTI Central. Feel free to ask any questions you might have about MBTI or general psychology.

    What is the military like?

    You really don't sound like an INFJ. Why don't you try this test?

    I took the test you suggested Athenian. My results:
    ISTJ

    Type 1 Perfectionism |||||||||||||| 60%
    Type 2 Helpfulness |||||||||||| 50%
    Type 3 Image Awareness |||||||||||| 50%
    Type 4 Sensitivity |||||||||||| 50%
    Type 5 Detachment |||||||||||||| 56%
    Type 6 Anxiety |||||||||||||||| 66%
    Type 7 Adventurousness |||||||||||| 43%
    Type 8 Aggressiveness |||||||||||| 46%
    Type 9 Calmness |||||||||||| 43%

    I think I'll take Warick's test too.

    ISTJ according to both tests. I researched the portrait of an ISTJ. Seems pretty accurate to me. I could relate with most of it.

    Default Hello

    Welcome! If you are an ISTJ, that's great, because I have a lot to learn about them, and I think they are in the minority in these forums. If you are an INFJ, you are (hopefully!) in good company!

    (P.S. I have read that ISTJs are especially attracted to the military...)

    Thanks for the welcome.

    Yeah, reading up on suggested/fitting occupations for ISTJs, military was suggested and so was police/detective (that's the line of work I'm ultimately trying to get into ).

    Anyways, I just stumbled onto this MBTI stuff yesterday for the first time so I'm gonna do some more research maybe look at some other tests and keep browsing the forums to see what I can gather.

    I like smileys too much... heh
