    Default California Soul

A friend got me interested in this forum. I'm thankful; it's been awhile since I was part of a forum community. I used to be on INTPC, although I'm a different person now. I've only recently moved to California, and enjoy it, although I do miss aspects of my home in Hawaii.

In person, I find it difficult to talk to others I don't agree or relate with, but will at least try to maintain civility, courtesy, and professionalism. This is mostly because I find it more troublesome to deal with the often unpredictable consequences of arguing with others. It's especially difficult to maintain tact in the red steamy faces of nincompoops who are too engrossed in their own perspective to see how wrong they are. I think this may be the most infuriating for INTPs, I don't know. I just know that I have a high standard of intelligence expected from others and have done well to exercise restraint.

Here, I don't feel the need to hold back as much, and so, thank you TypoC, for being a cathartic medium. I promise to only hurt those who have purposely hurt my brain.

Of all the little Hawaiian that I do know, this was the only thing that ran through my head:

    Twas the night before Christmas
    And all through the hale
    Was singing and dancing
    And hoomalimali

    Mama in her muumuu
    And papa in his malo
    Greeting aikane
    E he a mahalo

Sister gathered flowers for a lei
Brother watched the imu all of the day
Soon the music boys began to play
Meles old and new of Hawaii nei

Tables were loaded with plenty of kaukau
Opihi and salmon and steaming hot laulau
We even talked story until we were pau
It was really maika`i at our Christmas luau.

I only really remembered the middle two. You might have remembered singing it in elementary school or something. Probably singing badly too, just like at Karaoke. lol...

Unlike Gloriana here, I can't guarantee you that

I had no idea such lyrics existed, which may help explain why you seem to like turning into an angry moke when you get drunk. And I sing badly only in attempt to dissuade you from coming onto me.

What part of Cali are you from? I'm not currently there, but I'm from the East Bay Area.

    Welcome aboard.

Northern SD. It's been really nice. So far the most north I've been is Disneyland, which rocked since it was my first time. Also liking the high speeds of the roads.
