    Default Comin' out!

I've lurked here for a couple of days so I thought it was 'bout time for me to c'mon out and intro myself.

Not much to say right now...but I'll fill in the blanks later.

OK I guess I can put a bit more descriptive information about myself...

I'm an INTJ through-and-through. I've tested myself several times over several years and always come up with the same result (damn!). I've always known that I was “different”; socially awkward, loner-type, hard to make and keep friends – all of the classic INTJ traits. I knew that I was wired different but I never knew just how differently I was wired until I started reading up more on the MBTI types. I wish I had known about this before I got married the first time (I could have avoided a great deal of unpleasantness). So here I am!

What makes me tick? I'm a self-avowed car-nut and gear-head. Like ~ guessed I have a Mazda Miata (thus my tag name), a 2-seat sports car that I work on constantly. I also ride motorcycles – I have a Suzuki “crotch rocket” - that keeps me busy during the summer time. I love to drive (and ride), and it's not uncommon for me to take whole-day trips just for the hell of it. The only sports I watch on TV, or in person, are car or motorcycle racing. When I'm not doing all of that stuff, I'm into computers. I've worked for years (I won't say how many!) in the IT arena and I'm currently working as a contractor. Other than that, my interests are in music, gardening, painting and SciFi.

This looks like a fun, interesting place. I hope to get to know you all better.

    Welcome
Relationships have normal ebbs and flows. They do not automatically get better and better when the participants learn more and more about each other. Instead, the participants have to work through the tensions of the relationship (the dialectic) while they learn and group themselves and a parties in a relationships. At times the relationships is very open and sharing. Other time, one or both parties to the relationship need their space, or have other concerns, and the relationship is less open. The theory posits that these cycles occur throughout the life of the relationship as the persons try to balance their needs for privacy and open relationship.

I do live in Motown, but Ms Ross was never one of my faves. "Back in the day" I was more into the Temptations, Marvin Gaye and Smokey. Nowadays my taste runs to many flavors of Jazz, New Age and Classical. Odd mix, huh?
