Thanks everyone! I think this is the best welcome I've received on a forum!
    I feel so loved!

I'm glad there seem to be a good number of INTJ females. We can compare notes and analyze what it means to be a female INTJ.

I wonder if it's a type trait that we suck at introducing ourselves in forums. I certainly do.

A bit about myself: I am a 27-year-old female living in Denver. I'm a student (still) and am about to get my bachelor's degree in May.

My tag is Mendacity, which means dishonesty or two-facedness (is that a word?). I chose it when I was 17 because my real name means truthful and I thought it was kind of funny. It just kinda stuck.
I am actually a very honest person and I take honesty (both in myself nd in others) very seriously.

I took the Myers-Briggs test for a class. When I researched my type I thought it was incredibly accurate and explained traits of my personality that I had always caused me to feel alienated from other people and wonder what the hell was wrong with me and why I couldn't just be normal.
I read a lot of forum posts for other female INTJs and they seemed to be having the same reaction. I mention the females specifically (although there were lots of posts like that from males as well) because female INTJs are apparently incredibly rare and are not "typical" girls.

So yeah, that's me. Hi, nice to meet everyone.
I should also maybe mention that I can also be very loquacious. I apologize for that in advance.
Hello, Mendacity. Welcome to MBTI Central. Discussions often involve general psychology and MBTI theory. Feel free to ask any questions regarding these subjects.

What is Denver like, and what have your experiences been in college there?

I'm sorry to hear people had trouble relating to you. That's a typical problem for IN's in general, particularly INTx females.

No, it wasn't a word last time I checked. Duplicity is the word I think you were seeking. You can say "two-faced," but you can't add suffixes.

Don't worry, most of the people here worth knowing also have good vocabularies.

Sounds like you have the perfect INTJ real name and the perfect INTJ handle - nothing like irony

Usehername, has my... ambivalence toward other INTJs (as a group) escaped you?

Incidentally, I actually know four female INTJs IRL, my mother (), two thirtysomething leaders of their respective subcultures ( and ) and an 18-year old who already pwns the world (or at least herself, but the rest will follow ) better than I do.

Anyhow, welcome to the board, Mendacity.

    (This thread explains my signature.)

Dreams are best served manifest and tangible.
