    Thank you for all the welcomes! I didn't notice that I got so many replies! There are indeed a lot of differences between MBTI and Socionics, to the point where they are completely different and you can be two different types side-by-side. I haven't been able to find too many Socionics threads here, as I'm sure that the majority of the forum leans majorly towards MBTI. I think the one misunderstood fact about Socionics is the assumption it relies on Visual Identification (VI). This is because most peoples' first encounter with Socionics is Socionics.com, and while it's type descriptions are okay, the test is bad and the VI hypothesis is horrible. VI is better described as watching body language and over all watching the person without interacting with them to guess their type. In essence, I'm sure people who practice MBTI do this as well, but it's easier for MBTI since Socionics types based off of the functions rather than the dichotomies.
