I'm empathetic. I don't know why. I was an ESFJ as a kid, and I'm a music major. raised by someone with a strong F. Not sure if that's why...

INTPs seem to treat empathy and F qualities as a taboo on the board purely because of the stereotypes. It's amusing seeing people afraid to admit these things. It's good that you came up and said that, your breed of INTP is the kind of INTP that a lot of people will like, won't seem cold and analytical, etc. Basically great for relationships of all kinds . I like your breed of INTP, they have been some of my very good friends.

Hmm - I'm acquainted with another INTP who seems to exhibit "warmness" and sensitivity that is probably not attributed to the NT profile.

Then again, I'm an INFP and my mom considers me the most "intellectual" of her daughters. I'm supposing this means that my family is in trouble.

hmmm... since when is empathy an F quality? It may require a lot of T, imho, to be able to understand life from another perspective. Or maybe it requires a lot F. Who knows? But I can be extremely empathetic and I'm definitely a "T".

I said empathy and F qualities. I didn't say anywhere that empathy was an F quality.

Everyone knows you can't make any money in physics! I believe all the mathematicians and physicists up here went to work for the banks as quants, and we all know how that turned out
