    Default Hi, sort-of-new

I've been registered for a while, but I tend to not have a lot to say and sometimes lurk.

Today, I love Diana Wynne Jones and pound cake (the food of the gods). Today, I hate ... cumbersome self-checkout machines.

Tomorrow, I want to go to the beach. Or finally try eating at that Korean noodle and pizza place.

    Korean noodle and pizza?

Then I'll spare the introduction and offer for assistance. (But I'll still offer any advice you want on discovering your type or understanding the discussions around here if you need me to.)

Pound cake isn't half bad, actually. Who is Diana Wynne Jones? I have a lot of trouble with those self-checkout machines too, and I find the weird scale they make you use irritating as well. I always try to get a real cashier when I can, that's much more convenient.

Tomorrow, I want to go to the beach. Or finally try eating at that Korean noodle and pizza place.
If you go to the beach, describe your impressions of the ocean. I know that most people see something transformative or powerful in it, but to me it just looked like a large body of salt water with occasional waves caused by an unusual mix of Earth's rotation, convection, tectonic shifts, winds, and lunar gravity. I wish I could have seen something more impressive, though, like what others see.

Don't you mean Italian noodles and pizza? That would make more sense. Do you remember the name of the restaurant? I might be able to find reviews of it and tell you if it's worth eating there or not.

    Hi Colors

I used to be a fan of hers when I was younger, but I haven't read all of her books.

    Glad to see you unlurking.

    Welcome.

Don't think I've ever eaten Korean. Vietnamese can be pretty good, though.
