Hello - classic, textbook INFJ here, having stumbled onto this forum by accident.
Lots of INFJ in my life right now: I've known that I'm an INFJ for 22 years (I'm a male, btw), but in all that time, only met and knew well one other --- a male co-worker with whom I started a technology company.
Then, last spring, a female INFJ came into my life, the first I'd ever been aware of in that context. We are very close friends, but I have to say it's one of the most frustrating relationships of my life. I've learned a lot about myself, and how I come across to others, from knowing her.
Finally, the younger of my two sons is 14, and his adult personality is beginning to assert itself --- and he, unlike his siblings, is also an INFJ. No one ever really worked with the differences in me as I was growing up (I'm from a Midwest Fundamentalist clan that was isolating and not friendly to individual differences as extreme as mine) ... so I want to do what I can to smooth the path for my son, to the degree that it's possible.
It was in searching out resources for him that I arrived here. I'm hoping to soak up some insights that might help me improve my friendship with my female twin, among other things ...
