I'm 21, female and am from Malaysia. I'm an INTP (Enneagram type 5 sp). Since I discovered the MBTI (I think it was about 4 years ago), I've been hooked on personality psychology ever since. Stuff like the MBTI and the Enneagram -- despite it being non-empirical and somewhat of a pseudo-science -- provide great intellectual input and understanding of people. Plus, as an INTP, I'm always fond of systems. I might also like to add that I'm sort of a non-archetypal INTP, not being attuned to mathematics and the hard sciences. My realm is the humanities (which may be typically more of an INFJ/INFP thing), with a particular slant towards sociology and to a certain extent, psychology. I'm a journalism major -- and people often ask me how I am going to strike in this industry since I am highly introverted. But being INTP, I can mimic extroverted traits for a certain period of time and blend in. I actually do not exactly know what field I would be venturing towards, and if I find the media industry not satisfying after experimenting with it, I will move towards other areas. I like many things and am regarded as quite competent by my peers, but at the end of the day, what I aspire is to understand life. Whether it's reading a book, watching a movie, talking to someone or seeing new places -- I approach all these activities with regard to understand fully life in all its complexities.
As an INTP, I am an eternal student.
(By the way, hello, hello! . As an INTP, I love talking to other INTPs as I like my theories to be shot down and getting new insights. Emotionally I have this biiig softness towards INFPs and INFJs )
