    Deal.
Relationships have normal ebbs and flows. They do not automatically get better and better when the participants learn more and more about each other. Instead, the participants have to work through the tensions of the relationship (the dialectic) while they learn and group themselves and a parties in a relationships. At times the relationships is very open and sharing. Other time, one or both parties to the relationship need their space, or have other concerns, and the relationship is less open. The theory posits that these cycles occur throughout the life of the relationship as the persons try to balance their needs for privacy and open relationship.

    Yeah. We kinda do.

Oddly enough, this kid Samer I know who's an ENTP, we get along fine over AIM, make eachother laugh and everything. But in person, we kinda piss eachother off. Idk. I know he's put off by the way I tend to mimic people's behaviors and everything else when I'm around them.

Hi, and thank you! I was glad to find a place like this, since I had no idea a psychology-based message board even existed. I kind of stumbled on it.

Yeah I really don't like being manipulated or heavily persuaded, and I am very sensitive to that sort of thing. I think it works the other way too though. I think ENFJ's understand that ENTP's can mess up the social order they have created in a group, and unlike other leader types they can see that the ENTP is coming in to mess with things.

Hi theory. I've known a few ENFJs irl and liked them all, though (because?) they are gifted manipulators. Still, they tend to be aware of this aspect of themselves and feel somewhat guilty about it, so you can't really ask for too much more.
