I really don't care enough to have an opinion.

Also, if i was told i had to change my type, i would ask for a reasonable, logical explanation and if someone could deliver it, then i would consider a change. Does this mean i'm an fi fail?

It means you're a dominant rational....so Fi match!

That guy always describes INFPs as being so Si heavy he's basically describing ISFJs (or the 6 or 9 variety).

I dunno...

I know one ENFP intimately, and several others pretty well who this fits to a tee.

What it's expressing is something deeper than just the surface of that one liner.

It's saying that ENFPs often seem like they just want to be given money without having to work for it.

And, honestly, I think that sentiment rings true of ENFPs more than just about any other type I know.

They want to live their lives without having to worry (at all) about money -- they just want it. Cuz they deserve it. Cuz they're special.

I see this with less-than-healthy 4s & 7s, which ENFPs tend to be (not unhealthy, but those types).
It's not hard to guess how that mentality would develop in each. But it happens with xSFPs of those types too.
Come to think of it, 2s can be pretty bad that way also.

I agree with these comments. I find some of his videos to be hilarious.

Seriously, how can someone not think that's funny.

Because most of it is hackneyed cliche that fails to be clever. And some take it as serious insight.

haha!!!

i don't even think i watched the linked video haha i should do that maybe.

edit: oh right..i did watch the first bit.

he's funny actually.

Yes, his videos are funny.

He should probably put a disclaimer though. Something to the effect that "these videos are not meant to be official representations of Jungian theory and MBTI" except I think he genuinely believes his shit is true and that he is helping people in his own way.

Can't stand anime. It all looks the same. I think anime is a 9 thing, kind of like Harry Potter.

And I wouldn't want to be an INFJ. When I thought maybe I was I got pretty depressed, actually. I like being an INFP.

Not saying all 9s like anime. But it seems like if they don't like anime then they like Harry Potter :D

Aw c'mon, so many kids grew up with Harry Potter, that ain't fair  My ISTJ brother, who believes that "reading is for girls", even likes Harry Potter.

Anyway, I'm not even sure I AM an INFP OR a 9, so I shouldn't get too upset. I'll get back to you, if I'm still an INFP 9w1, I'm going to REALLY let you have it!

Oh geez, I'm not saying only nines like Harry Potter and anime, but I don't see it as an INFP thing so much as a nine sort of thing. It's kind of this deal where so many INFP descriptions seem really nineish to me, and as an INFP 4 I have a hard time relating to them.

Yeah, I'm really lazy, dissociative and avoidant, but even I find the INFP descriptions to be sickening. INFP's live in a magical candy lane, just off of gumdrop lane, where they dance and sing, and read the Little Prince over and over again until they die of an overdose from being too adorable.

Ha ha. I know... who writes those things? An ESTP?

What many other types don't seem to realize is that we are actually dominant rational types. It just acts differently than what most people perceive as 'rational': Te.

I find the thought of being any kind of Ni dom depressing. No offense to Ni users intended. It just seems like they have the most difficult time fitting in society and relating to others. Ti doms and Fi doms may not always fit in or easily relate to others, but it seems like they give less fucks about not fitting in or finding a social niche?

I thought the difference was that Fi/Ti are both rational in a personal, subjective way, whereas Fe/Te tend to be rational in an objective, external way. (Somewhat related to my Lenore Thomson thread regarding brain lateralization and the functions which HARDLY ANYONE seemed interested in reading or participating in.)

my videos can be taken seriously when you remove the dramatization and obvious bias.
