ESFPs have all of the worst trappings of the GtG interaction style, while ESTPs don't (they're In Charge.) That is, ESFPs can be manic, hyper, always flitting to-and-fro, and can seem like they have a need to constantly be moving around and socializing. ESTPs are, I think, more calm (which is probably what makes the worst of them more insidious and dangerous.)

No, ESTPs are not more calm. They are just (a bit) more able to be calm. Both ESFP and ESTP are strongly correlated to the histrionic personality. However ESTPs are more driven to put their ideas in order in their head and manage to be a smooth opereator to serve their practical and logical needs. While ESFPs are silly and illogic, don't care about logic and are driven by their feelings only, but are pretty good at managing to be assertive and put their external environment in order to serve their sentimental and ethical needs. ESTP are Ti, maximize logic, seek precision in words and idea, and also are absolutely charming and working the crowd, but minimize feelings. ESFPs are only driven by the caprice of their passion, minimize logic and maximize feelings also they are silly and don't care about logic and coherence but are very assertive and bossy when it's time to be, good at putting their private interest above the interst of the others, and act logically based on this. Both ESTPs and ESFPs then to be histrionic and hypomaniac, but ESTPs tend more to be antisocials, while ESFPs tend more to be dependent and borderline. The "calmer" vibe that can seem to be released by ESTPs comes only from their ability to rely on objective and impersonal principle and pattern (ESFP don't do that) while being smooth manipulator of people and crowd. That being said, ESTPs are clearly more confortable achieving their ends being shocking, spectacular and scandalous.

ESTPs are more in-charge and are confortable releasing the vibe of a commandant, that aspect is more marginal with ESFPs. Also ESFPs are more sensitive and personal, ESTPs are more realistic, cynical. Both are ironic, but ESTPs are more. Both are opportunistics and extravagants. ESTPs rely and external ethic, but deal with their personal feelings with some distance, feelings must logically makes sense. That preocupation don't concern the ESFPs.

ESTP is Catwoman. ESFP is Harley Quinn. I think.

While ESTPs can certainly be silly, sociable and exuberant, they don't have quite that ESFP level of hyperactivity - they're more cool-headed.

I think ESTPs have a slightly harder edge; a directness. They're blunt, or more generally, straight-talking and seem more inclined to share an opinion, whereas the ESFPs seem more circumspect about asserting their views (and if they do, it's very off-hand and less direct). I also think that ESFPs' behaviour is adapted more to their surroundings, whereas ESTPs have a more consistent through line (if that makes sense).

EDIT: Speed, I'm sorry but a lot of those typings just seem plain wrong to me.

ESFP is bossier than ESTP because ESFP has Fi where they have a rigid sense of values and Te where they will ruthlessly enforce those values on other people. ESTP has Ti where they will analyze in a cool and calculating manner and Fe where they will charm others and display their emotions in an open manner. ESTP also is more of a rebel and goes against the social norms whereas ESFP will do what is popular and what group values society expects making ESTP the fun one.

Hmmm, I suppose it happens occasionally, but I can't think of many times where I've seen a ESFP put their foot down. Usually it's after they've been pushed pretty far. I do think ESFPs can be quite stubborn at times.

Yes, but I have known ESTPs to be quite forceful too, however, I don't think they always know when they're doing it. It also seems that they aren't doing it to subdue people (like EXTJs) but instead get them on side - which, when taken to a negative extreme, becomes manipulative.

ESTP also is more of a rebel and goes against the social norms whereas ESFP will do what is popular and what group values society expects making ESTP the fun one.
Yes, I would generally agree with that.

ESFPs seem more emotional and ESTPs seem more logical.

ESTPs are NOT less hyperactive than ESFPs. ESTPs are hyperactive and cool-headed, ESFPs are hyperactive and silly.

No. It's just that ESTPs assert their logical views, while ESFPs assert their emotinal views. Making the ESTPs a more harsh with hard edge, more offending. ESFPs don't use logic to be offending and logically critical. But ESFPs know how to be assertive and bossy.

Most are corrects. If not every. It's just that you are not tha good at typing, so you don't realize it.
