i can't speak for the all SPs, but i am happiest when there is a balance between knowing where things stand and avoiding the perception of feeling trapped. although i take a very unstructured approach myself, a lack of definition and steadiness from other people stresses me out.

at the same time, space is extremely important and if someone tries to keep me pinned down i will undoubtedly run away from that person even if im in favor of the relationship. if i want to be somewhere or with someone, i most certainly will, no fences are necessary.

my suggestion: lay things out in simple, black and white terms, then let them come to you on their own volition.

I'm exactly like that. Makes my husband crazy, even today I wanted to know what he was doing this afternoon, while personally I have no clue what I'm going to do.
