How can anyone even begin to talk about beer without mentioning Prague? :p

i am all about the lighter beers, but i can't get into Czech pilsners.
they have some kind of bitterness that turns me off. i guess it is the extra hops. but Pilsner Urquell is the best pilsner i've had!

Summer: Tart and sharp IPAs (They make a great one right down the road from me in Charlottesville, VA.)

Winter: Harp Lager.

Edit: Uh oh. Wrong place to post in the forum. But you SPs don't mind, do ya? You know you're my favorite types. :hi:

Always wondered on this one, what makes dark beer so superior? Is it alcohol content? The bitterness? I don't know how people like those bitter beers, and Red Stripe? Gack! Bitterness is your tongue telling you 'SPIT THIS OUT'

I'm not saying Guiness is bitter, I don't mind it but I'd rather drink other things. Seems every time I try to order a dark beer I get something that is bitter. Different strokes I guess, drink what you wish I'll drink things that don't invoke a gag reflex.
