Catcher in the Rye will always remain in one of my Top 3.

The Red and The Black by Stendahl (sp?)
"Undine geht".. short story in German by Ingeborg Bachmann. I am pretty sure an English translation exists, but I'm not sure if it's online. One of the most beautiful pieces of existentialist prose I have ever read. I love it so much...
I'm also a huge fan of Jane Austen... Emma and Sense & Sensibility are my favorites.
