I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain. Bene Gesserit: Litany Against Fear. Dune
This is my last thread today. In Japan nobody does market research. The theory is put a product out and pull the ones that don't sell. Nobody knows, try a lot of stuff and see what works.
Fear is not real. It is nothing more than a hormonal signal that pain may be felt soon. Once you mentally prepare and accept the reality of pain, fear is now undefined and irrelevant, thus can be excluded.
The japan approach would be expensive however my guess is they have a more intuitive, common sense approach to understanding the market need. They can "see" what the customers need. Perhaps due to the more collective, societal focused mindset, it is a more homogeneous population base to develop for.
