    No offense.

Yeah, I think a recurring thing is the other types using the word "should" a lot more. I mean, obviously, SPs use the word, but not in such an insistent way where we assume we know what everybody SHOULD be doing. It's usually more like:

SP: Dude, you should totally try one of these milkshakes. It's so good I almost peed on myself.

Other person: Nah, I'm fine with my unflavored nonfat ice milk.

    SP: Okay, whatever....

Any time I have to deal with anything political it's always to try and minimize the effect of a law. SPs get that live and let live philosophy, the other types go for the "wouldn't it be great if everyone did this" philosophy.

Yeah, that sums up a lot of my beliefs as well. The only issue I have with libertarianism is its lack of environmental protection measures. In that regard I prefer socialist philosophies like the national park system in the USA.

Agreed. I like to think of myself as a rational libertarian...think about the pros and cons of govt involvement in something, if the govt should be involved in it, and if it would be significantly better even with factoring in their typical incompetence. I'm also for having the government involved in as few things as possible. Need vs ideal want so to speak....FDA? Good. Giving hundreds of billions of dollars to farmers to preserve jobs and keep production here? Not good, even if the concept somehow sounds like a positive, the question is, is it a role the government should have? My answer is no.

Anyway, it's an easy way to move into the topic of this thread....

My problem with non-SP types, is that many are too rule, law, and society bound, and think others should be the same way....

Examples with a typical opinion from other people I've found and a response from me:

"We can't do that because we aren't allowed to."
"So what? No one actually cares if we break it."

"You should do this because it's what's everyone does and you won't fit in if you don't".
    "I don't care."

"Don't do that/You shouldn't be allowed to do that, it's too dangerous"
"I knew that already, if I was concerned about it, I wouldn't be doing it"

"I'll pray you one day find Jesus and join me"
"I did already, he's the mexican night janitor at work. Oh, you meant that guy from a couple thousand years ago? Save your breath." *This is the only example that's an exact quote on both sides.

All my friends are SPs. Let's see ... that's about three people. ISFP, ISTP, ESFP, need one more to complete the set.

I ask a lot of questions
I have an inner monologue that sounds strikingly similar to something off Animal Planet.
