    Default ISTP/INTP interactions...

Curious to know about how the interactions between ISTP and INTP have gone down? Problems? High points?

    I think ISTPs rock.

If we fight over anything, it's usually because they think I'm being too whimsical/ungrounded and I feel like they're only seeing the tangible possibilities / too anchored.

I love ISTPs, but prolly thats because my stepfather is one and I learned to value independant thought and bombastic verbage of observations very early on. I think they can be a little crude and overly dismissive, but ISTP might be my favorite type to have around me, honestly

I'm currently living with my INTP girlfriend. We get along great -- unlike my last relationship, there is no drama, and we are well matched in the intelligence department. However, we do clash occasionally, and it is usually related to one of the following:

-- Mismatched interests. She gets a lot of pleasure from shopping and going out to visit "fancy" places, while I get more pleasure out of going exploring, hiking, kayaking, etc. This conflict also creeps up when it's time to decide on a vacation spot, though we can usually find something that works for both of us.

-- Lack of foresight / planning. This one is on my end. I'm terrible at planning, and while she will do a vast amount of research on things, I don't do enough, and it gets me into trouble. Once again, the thing that comes to mind is vacation spots, but this conflict creeps up in all kinds of places.

There is no interaction, we're both too aloof.

How did the courting process go? Who was the aggressor? Or was it friends first or instant connection?

Well I could tell she was interested, so I asked her on a date. There was no friendship beforehand. It was pretty old-fashioned in that regard, actually.

To the contrary, I have a former INTP supervisor who seems to be more into idle chat than I am. However we seem to think very much alike and I can see in his face when he passes something by me and is astounded by the similar thought process.
