^This kind of humor is ideal for my Ne+Si, i.e. it's random as fuck (Ne) and is funny because it's contrary to things that make sense and are established (Si). I read a type description of ESTJs that says they love jokes about things not being "normal", and that generally rings true for me.

I also like puns. :cheese:
Me too, on both counts. My favorite humor employs randomness and the like, Ne-based humor or Ne-Si is probably a clearer description. This makes sense typologically, I think, because to me Ne is something that is suitable only for playing around--not suitable for use in serious situations (for me). :whistling:

People often say SJs can't stand Ne...I say that's mostly true in the work-context, not the play-context.

Ahh yes... Ne humor is SOOO delightful :wubbie: (assuming I actually get it ).

Definitely! Ne at work tends to register with me as "not staying focused" -- so I end up looking like I have no sense of humor because I am just Not In The Mood For Games. :nono:

 Yes, exactly! Sometimes I'm just like :thelook: but other times I get it and play along! :wizfreak:

People who can pull off deadpan humor very well are comedic gods in my eyes. Off the top of my head, the first example I can think of is, oddly, Andy Levy from Fox News.

Aside from that... I lean toward what I shall dub "Nerd-oriented humor" such as xkcd comics.
