I rarely get into fights since I'm very sensitive to conflict. Yelling, or even a raised aggressive voice elicits a panicky response from me. I'm not afraid of fighting, per se, but it does cause me a good deal of emotional pain that overwhelms me. Usually, I'll ask the person if we can talk about the issue later when we're both calmer. If this doesn't work, I'll end up shutting down emotionally and going numb and unresponsive so as to avoid being overwhelmed. Sadly, this placidity often aggravates the person more.

EDIT: and to be honest, when having a fight, all I'm really wishing is that me and the person could just stop arguing and hug it up.
