Why aren't ISTJs cool as the other SJ types?

If you, an ISTJ, saw food that was safe to eat but you just didn't have a clue of what it was, would you:
    a) say "I don't know what it is. Therefore, I will eat it and find out."
    b) ask for the food to be identified before you will touch it.
    c) insist on an ingredient list before you would taste it.
    c) say yuck and walk away.
I'm a little teapot, short and stout. Here is my handle and here is my spout. Every time I steam up, I give a shout. Just tip me over and pour me out.

I thought so too, and was surprised there are so many other SJs who are like that.

I did go to a different forum full of INTPs before because I thought I was one last year. I didn't really go crazy, but I definitely did not fit in. And I think hardly anyone knew of my existence there anyway.

    I think I'll go with b.

They will tar and feather at first. But if you stick it out and try to show some creative thinking, you'll be accepted. Our Ne is very heavy though. It might look we are babbling nonsense to each other when in fact, there is a very clear discussion at hand.

You might get dizzy like swinging on the merry-go-round as a kid. I hated those things.

Not really. I have a pretty messy table for an STJ.

    Wires everywhere!
And lol @ calendar still on January. Shows that I don't really use it.

If you liked someone a lot and were testing them to make sure they really liked you for you, and started to let them in, but you two argued wayyy too much because you couldn't see each other eye to eye (even though you may think you're getting through to them) and they dumped you on v-day....how would you react and why?

What? Playing by the rules isn't cool?

Seriously, the need to be cool is probably low on a ISTJ's list for the most part. I think feeling out of place is pretty common, but going to lengths just to fit in isn't the answer.

If it was safe, I'd give it a try. I'd be curious to know what it was, but it's not that important.

That's not just an ISTJ thing. I know an ISFP who is leery about presentation and wierd looking foods.
