    Default SJ Representation Here

I recently read that SJ's make up something like 40% of the population. If you look at the post numbers in the "Commune" section under the 4 temperaments, this forum has about 8% of the posts. Similar results here:

Why are there so few SJ's here?
    I 60% / N 60% / T 64% / P 76%

Yeah we don't thrive in places like this.

SJ are just too busy running this world to loiter here.

    Seriously speaking:

SPs are just as uncommon here as SJs, so it's more of an S/N thing.

Ni stands for meta-thinking. That leads N-type personalities to question themselves and their own motives. It drives them to understand themselves better. This naturally leads into psychology and personality theories.

S peopple are more prone to take things just as they are, and don't pay attention to reasons why things are as they are. This leads them to ignore things like personality theories. I wouldn't be here, if my NF friend would have told me about the MBTI. I never had been interested in psychology or anything else like that before, but the MBTI helped me to understand myself a lot. So, if it wasn't for NF curiosity of people's personality, there would be one SJ less here.

Habba above explains it pretty well; Ss are 'here and now' people, the 'it is what it is' type. The why's behind it aren't as important.

My fascination with MBTI was first to figure out myself, and realize that I wasn't the only person out there who thought and felt the way I did. It was a validation to an extent. I think for Ss, it helps to come to a forum like this and discuss the similarities, but not all of the stuff leading up to it.

Yeah, and many S might be content with just reading some descriptions of their type on some website. Why delve in it any more, when you have already read most of the important stuff anyways.

Because Ss often end up marrying Ns and then needless fireworks ensue!
