Wow, i was surprised by how many people at the end of the list have not posted anything.

That's what I found most surprising.

Only 589 registered members (a bit over 13%) have made 100 or more posts. Even more surprising (to me, at least) is that more than 42% of have yet to make a single post. About half of all members have made either 1 or zero posts.

That's pretty much the reason why my favorite way of sorting members works out well. Everyone who's anyone (read: is addicted enough that you're likely to see a lot of them) pretty much appears on the first few pages. ;)

Very few new members stick around, because it can be hard to break in. There are a bunch of old jokes and assumptions laying around that can make it difficult. Most people end up preferring to join and stick with a message board when it starts or a few months after, unless they really, really like it for that very reason.

So true I can recognize most of them on the first few pages, the rest of us just kind of fall in line..
