Agree with:
We protect others
We have an innate subjective sense of the best way to do something
We make lists (I'm not sure how I coped without making lists of what I need to do each day)
We like the news and current affairs
We don't like injustice!

The last one is what drove me to become active in politics. I'm a Conservative though, and I see injustice in probably a different way to others... I look at victims' rights rather than criminal rights. I honestly believe if someone has decided to become a criminal they should pay for it. 5 years in jail for murder (a common penalty in this joyful socialist bin of a country) makes me sick and angry. Plus I can't believe there are 5m people in the UK who could work, and have been given opportunities to work, but who have been on out-of-work benefits for years. Children give birth to children then live on benefits. As a worker, who's always worked hard, this actually makes me want to take up arms!!

Yeah, this went a bit political!

Me to SJ: You actually use a diary?!
SJ: Yes of course without one I wouldn't get anything done
Me: O_O with the time I spent writing I could of used my energy burst to do a bunch of random tasks
SJ: That doesn't sound productive
Me: ;D its faster and you know it
SJ: *face palm*

I don't have a diary... I have a palm pilot. :D It keeps all my contacts and meetings and appointments all neatly and it even has an alarm to warn me when there is something coming up! It's the ultimate SJ tool!

You have abandoned the way of Si! We have a head for details! We have a great memory! Shame on you!

Personally, I'd never use a Palm or any other inferior for of PC. Even my cell phone is a plain old "no-colors-just-SMS-and-a-Phone" type of device.

I've tried to keep a diary few times, but only for specific things (like working log, dream diary, feelings diary after a heartbreak, etc.), but never a all-around diary. I've got them in me head. Keeps your mind fresh. I don't even do notes at the university.

Well... let's not get too hasty to point fingers Habba.:tongue10: I find that once I put the appointment in the Palm Pilot I remember it anyway. So it's more of a backup IN CASE I forget. ;)

I kept a diary when I was younger (for the same things you did Habba) but I ended up throwing it in the trash. After a few years, it just got to be annoying and I didn't want to be stuck in my past. But of course, running from my past hasn't gotten me anywhere!

There is no reason to take notes at the University for me, except that I remember things alot easier when I write them down. I NEVER go back and look at notes!

However, Habba, I am a tech guy and my cell phone does have all the bells and whistles. (But it is plain old black) So I'm not THAT much of an SJ! :(

Dream = "Dreams are sequence images, sounds and feelings experienced while sleeping, strongly associated with rapid eye movement sleep." -Wikipedia

Diary = "A diary is a record (originally in written book format) with discrete entries arranged by date reporting on what has happened over the course of a day or other period." -Wikipedia

Hence, dream diary is a diary for the dreams. A place to write down your dreams. I did this to better remember my dreams. They are wacky and hilarious at times... and sometimes rather disturbing.

Like I've had dreams in which I've been a Dexter-like serial killer. I've killed people, hid their bodies and been very stressed about whether the bodies be found, and what would become of me if I'd get caught. It would be unfair to lock me away for years, especially since it won't bring the dead people back. Wasting just another life won't help anyone.

Well... let's not get too hasty to point fingers Habba.

There are no faster fingerslingers than us, the SJs. :newwink:

Huh, interesing... I've never met an ISTJ who recorded their dreams before.

Should I be..... worried?

Nah. I have dreams like that too. :D

You have dreams about murdering people?! I don't have them! (Although most dreams I do not remember)

My dreams usually consist of whatever action (and whoever I talked to) just before I go to sleep. Yes, I have had dreams about people who were on vent before... even though I have no idea what you look like! It's strange. I'll admit.

Other than that, I have dreams about girls, but thats obvious.

I have never kept a diary of my dreams in this regard.

Is it not very SJ to put reminders and information in planners and palm treos? I figured that'd just be a modern way to list future events, and keep your schedule in check. Oh no, I worry for my Si! I don't want to abandon it!

I used to keep a diary of significant emotional events. I still have one of them, but its very infrequent that I use it anymore.

...Here's the second!

I'm fascinated by my dreams because they are truly weird. If I put them on paper I'd either become a prolific horror author (maybe I should try!) or be sectioned.
The only person I've ever killed in them is myself, which was such a poignant dream. I walked into my school hall from a random greenhouse, there was a yoga class going on and I said "Hi!" then shot myself in the face. I then woke up. It was kind of confusing at the time because I believed I was dead.

Usually my loved ones are in danger, from aliens, evil people, diseases and the like, and it's down to me to save them. For some reason I always seem to be the only one who can resolve the situation. Hero complex? LOL.

They can be quite graphic. Some of the most sickening images I have seen have come from my mind. Kind of worrying.

I think I would be lost without my Palm T/X. Then again, I have had it so long that I do not remember life without it! But I have certainly not abandoned my S.....yet. :)

(Oh, and Habba, you got owned, just admit it. See what I mean! Scarves are nothing but trouble man!)
