I have my moments, even as an ESTP.

For example. The other day I burned my fingers because I thought the broiler was actually just the "tray drawer" despite the jets of fire coming out of the drawer after I openned it.

Also common, taking my foot off the brake peddle and slowly rolling into the car behind me only to be awakened when they honk.

COOL
Falcarius was sending rejection letters for prospective PhD candidates at the university he works for, when he messed up his copy-and-paste in doing so he accidentally made two of the rejected candidates a couple. He thinks it was either having a sensotard moment or some subconscious attempt at world peace; the candidates were an Israeli and Iranian.

Either way, it would make a interesting dissertation. Falcarius could just imagine it being called something like: 'Psychological anthropology of matchmaking on world peace'; maybe if the two candidates actually wrote it they would have got a place.

Not long ago, I realized I was pretty cold a few hours after I got dressed. I soon realized that this was because I was wearing a short sleeved shirt in February (maybe early March).

My entire life is like a sensotard moment. Anyway, today, my boyfriend mentioned something to me about how he promised he would move his stuff that's apparently been in the middle of the counter for a week. I hadn't noticed it.

I was starting to get anxious/paranoid because my friend with the same 1st name & same 1st initial in her surname stopped answering my emails kind of abruptly.
I hate wondering if I somehow offended someone, or...

Then I look at my inbox.

I sent half of my responses meant for her to myself by accident.

Turning around & hitting yourself in the face with the cabinet door you JUST opened.

..on more than one occasion

Sometime in the last month or two:

From late last week, in a gathering of co-workers:

Me (looking around): "So I guess I'm the only researcher here..."
Fellow researcher: "I am literally standing right next to you."

I dunno if this counts as a sensotard moment or just a Lex's jinx moment..

drying a dinnerplate last night (not too long after I walked into the cabinet door as posted above)- the plate (one advertised as break/chip resistant).. fell right outta my hands and shattered in tiny tiny pieces. Not 'slipped from my fingers due to moisture' - it was essentially dry. Just wasn't in my hands anymore, suddenly. The shards covered kitchen floor, and some carpet outside the kitchen. Even somehow ended up on the countertop. It was more like an explosion. I've never had a plate fragment that much on impact.. Usually it's like, 3-4 biggish chunks of broken pieces.

Miraculously I didn't cut myself for once, haha.

(swept up catfood/crumbs Jack threw everywhere earlier while I was at it.. messy eater)

Oh god. :dont:

I always get those "do you feel safe at home?" questions from doctors when I show up with random bruises, as it is.

I carry two bags of everything to work, and still manage to forget my phone.
I cannot put anything away because I'll never find it again.
I wear clothing tags on new jeans. To work. Even when I try to find them all.
I have perfected the fine art of balancing "fire hazard" with "lived in"
I don't let colleagues see my flat because I'm afraid they'll think less of me.
I get in the shower and forget to wash my hair. Twice.

Goes to the cinema, gets there, cinema is closed.

Drives to the next one. Eats something in a restaurant. Goes to the cinema, books, realises no 3D specs, "Ah I realised I forgot it in the car". Goes to fetch them in the car. Books ticket, no member club card to get discount. Goes back to car to find the card. Gets to car, finds it, bails. Pointless evening.

When I was about three, I was afraid of putting my hands behind my back because of one time when I did and something touched my right hand even though I was in open space. It eventually clicked that it was just my left hand.

Last night- needed to eat something w/meds.
Grabbed some almonds, grabbed my meds: an almond-sized tablet.
Mindlessly chomped a few almonds.
Chewed pill by accident.
Had to swallow it/not waste it.

Not the 1st time it's happened. Probably not the last.
