    Smile Questions and Answers

Vladimir Ilyich believed in the idea of the great Internationale. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. A Federal composition: The USSR was not to be a state but a Union of states. Much like the European Union.

Exactly the original idea of the Founding Fathers of America. The dream was soon tested by the slave traders. It did not pass the test.

The New Mob also believes in the Internationale. The leaders are composed of a dozen nationalities, just like the old Bolsheviks. And like the old Bolsheviks, they butcher each other with relish.

Their Capitals are St. Petersburg, Minsk, Kaunas, Vilnius, Belgrad, Bucharest, Sofia.

The Capitals of their client states are Munchen, Hamburg, Paris, London, New York..

They bring in their goods into Europe not only in trucks and vans, but quite openly through railways. They know when the bribed train personnel and the bribed custom officials are working.

They have the travel connection all worked out: the goods are brought by air, by sea, by rail, by road.

What are the goods? Where are they hidden? What is the price of the articles and for the bribe and blackmail?

The trade is rapidly expanding. These people know what they are doing.
They are professionals. After all, they were taught by Felix .

What of their eastern cousins? Radically different in operation and focus but similar in effect and temperament.
Isn't it time for a colourful metaphor?

The Yakuza is a cover operation of the Japanese security police.

    It has some loose, sure.

It is not independent and it is forbidden to operate in the occident.

I think you have that backwards ol' boy. The Yakuza are not limited by the yokes of Japanese culture so much. They bear no rider.

The Brief Background History of the New Mob

Suslov was officially the chief ideologist in the USSR.
He had a close connection with the Cheka/KGB.
The institution was ruled by the Party Boss Nikita Sergeyevich personally under one of his close associates.

Andropov of the Cheka, who had entertained a dream to come to the top of the organization, felt slighted by Nikita.

Andropov and Suslov schemed a coup. Nikita Sergeyevich was placed under a house arrest.

It was the business of the Cheka to know everything.
The financial deals of Brezhnev came in handy. He was vulnerable.

Under blackmail and under bribe, Brezhnev became officially the topman of the Party.

Suslov and Andropov had a free wing.

Instead of repressing the mob they began to cooperate with it.

To go east to west some would have to cross areas with no profit and therefore no insentive. Hence they travelled east and started that way.

The Russians had plenty of corruption off of which to feed. They also had rich neighbours to pester. Japan did not (well not counting Hong Kong but I think that it was a little crowded).

Oh yes they have the incentive.

The Japanese have extensive deals with us.
During my brief entourage in the business world I came to know them.
Even learned a little bit of the vernacular.

    Yakuza eh?

    Read Amelie Nothomb.

In Japan you do not so much as sneeze without a goahead.
