My INTP acquaintance tends to get irritated with me because my opinions and arguing style are so different from his. I guess he likes me, it's just that he gets irritated with me.

There's a high population of them in a forum I go on, and they're surprisingly domineering when addressing newbies. When the poor newb posts an introduction, they bombard it with "Read the FAQ, don't forget to sign yourself up with a mentor in the buddy exchange."

Also, a lot of them are self-proclaimed "grammar nazis". This tempts me to intentionally abuse my punctuation!!!!!

This place seems much more low-key, whilst over there it's liek whoah. For instance, the identical "ISFP/INTP relationships" thread would have been locked with a moderator saying "A thread like this has already been made."

And then the member would be reprimanded for reviving a "dead thread". WTF. INFPs seem to go Te-crazy online, when they socialise in herds of their own kind.
Whoa, I would never act like that, not even online, not even if I was a moderator and all the other moderators acted like that!!

It's like having an interaction with someone thats almost perfect in every way except for one thing that grinds on you, its like the INTP is a mobile phone without text messaging and the INFP is a mobile phone without internet and these 2 mobile phones are trying to be friends, they both like that they make calls the same way but something irks both of them.

    Thats my experience

LOL. Yeah, it's hard to explain, but it's something like that. The highs are really high, the lows are really low. I think INTP/INFJ would be smoother. The highs wouldn't be as high, but the lows wouldn't be as low. Smoother, more peaceful long-term connection, instead of the roller-coaster ride that seems to be INTP/INFP.

I'm an INXP... which makes me both an INTP and an INFP. Oh wellz!

INFPs are cool when they aren't a mess (emotionally). I find it extremely hard to deal with a--so to say, "whiny" INFP. But then again there aren't too many of them.

INFPs at their best are one of the most adorable lot of people ever. -GLOMPS AN INFP-

The worst mistake people make in political arguments is assuming that the other side is not trying to do the right thing. This simple oversight makes productive conversation nearly impossible.

I post on INFP global chatter and it's not that way at all. It can feel like a therapy group or hippy commune sometimes (haha...not really).

Although, if someone posts with very bad grammar, then people get a bit pissy (and rightfully so!).

I have also found that if you purposely insult someone, even indirectly, then they clamp down fast.
A forum which just so happens to be populated by a lot of young INFX types. It isn't all bad, and a lot of the threads are full of support groups (depression, suicide, etc). One thread in particular is devoted to venting, another about expressing yourself lyrically, or other forms of art. Very emotionally charged. A bit squicky for my taste, a lot of "Everyone is beautiful <3", but I've made some friends on there. I don't go trolling. But debates are discouraged, for some reason.

The dynamics keep shifting anywho, so there's less hierarchy as there used to be. A MBTI poll was recently posted, and there's a vast population of INTPs. Maybe they're the ones responsible? The carebear parade vibe is still there, though. Maybe I'm just tired and grumpy.
    Um, yeah.

I'll comment as I'm on the boarder. My criticism is the same as it is with all Fs. Though there are exceptions relying on one's emotions rather than reason for anything maybe other than raw values judgments is a critical flaw in my view.

How are you sure about the N? A lot of that sounds like XSFX behaviour too.

If I remember correctly, the forum is almost exclusively N.
