(No, I doubt it's related to type. I'm pretty sensitive to food smells [turn my stomach sometimes], chemical/perfumes [give me a headache/asthma attack].. it's more a human variation thing than a type-thing, imo).
Well I only have a problem with chemical/perfumes... no more, no less.

Read up on Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), I actually have it, annoying as a sorority girl carrying around a 4 pound dog in a pink rhinestone accented purse. I would be cautious of chemical exposure if in fact you do think you have it as increased or prolonged exposure will do nothing but make it worse. You're welcome to PM me for more information.

Maybe it's a HSP thing, which is unrelated to type.

Yeah your rhinitis combined with Si is probably the culprit.

I love essential oils and natural scents (like cedar and pine, or the smell of fennel plants) and get scented candles, but I hate strong chemical smells, don't usually like stuff like synthetic air freshener, and am bothered by bad smells and strong chemical smells like bleach.

No no. It's not stinky at all. Skunks smell good to me.

Same here. I'm far more sensitive to sound than I am to smells. I have a hard time tuning out certain background noises and sudden loud noises like thunder or banging, can scare the crap out of me.
