    I will work for acceptance if it will help me accomplish something I want (e.g. by gaining useful allies), but not for its own sake. That much is true. And as @Salomé writes, this is generally true of INTPs as well. IME, INTPs end up being more socially acceptable, if unintentionally so, just due to a more laid-back nature.
