Rereading my post; it seems that I complained deductive logic to be of not much use; unless one is doing a scientific experiment or some sort of a research where one probably has all the facts at hand. Sherlock holmes - atleast his intp moments - and ixtps wouldn't approve.

I actually really liked it. I don't know if that came across as sarcasm, lol. It is my opinion as well.

Just for the record: Sherlock Holmes is all about abductive reasoning, not deductive reasoning. Yes, Doyle dubs his method 'deduction' and he does use deductive reasoning as well, but that is not what he is known for.
