Kubrick was my father's all time favorite director.

Eyes Wide Shut which was kind of a fail was still fun to watch, apparently Kubrick died during post production so it wasn't a complete vision of his, that's what I heard not sure it it's true, though.

    Bleh, let him have it.

    Peace out guys.

I hope I didn't make things worse for you by calling you out on that one post. I'm really sorry if I did... I hope you don't leave the forums over something I started. As I said in a later post, I can understand where you're coming from to some extent.

Just because I disagree with someone's perspective doesn't mean that I don't want them to express it. I was just pointing out that it could be seen that way, and that I didn't understand precisely why it bothered you so much. I was trying to offer insight and seek clarity, though I might have failed and come across as hostile.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know... no one really wants you to leave. I don't, anyway.

I want a '69 Toyota Land Cruiser. I had one in College. Best car I ever owned. We used to get some beer and take the ladies up on fire roads in the mountains. Good times!

It is about the only horror film I can find any merit in.

    He might be mine, too.

It is not Kubrick's best film, but not his worst either; for pretty much everyone else it would be their opus magnum. When he died, the final cut was already finished.

SS, why the shame, guilt and disgust over nice things? Not sure why people have to justify their enjoyment due to accurate or inaccurate judgments. For certain those judgments aren't necessarily informed. They're a form of stereotyping, like hating all INTJs, ENTJs or INTPs. Makes no sense.

Bottom-line, toys are fun and life's too short.

So anyway if you study MBTI at all, you'll be aware for instance that different types tend to buy in different ways. NTs for instance tend to value being competent and are future oriented, and this seems often to translate into getting the latest, well-made thing. Sales people should know about this because NTs will blow out their budget if they discover something newer and better, the cutting edge. (But by "cutting" edge, one means newest AND most newly functional.)

And ENFPs have a problem with this. Their inner traditionalist gets bent out of shape. Suckers.
Bellison uncorked a flood of horrible profanity, which, translated, meant, "This is extremely unusual."

agreed. i drive a black vw golf - manual. it's fun to drive, but small. i live/work in the city, so i like to be able to squeeze into tight parking spots.

if you have to drive something - it may as well be a fun ride, well designed and aesthetically pleasing.

i don't judge people on what they drive - except automatic (aka bumper car) drivers.

I want a Lincoln MKS. So if that makes me old-manish, or snobby, I don't care, they're nice cars.
