Yes, I get caught in the bystander effect like everybody else.
    No, utilitarianism sucks.
No, "orange-faced monkeys" is not appropriate - it is in fact, a racist remark.
No, I won't finance anti-aging research, but feel free to join the extropian movement.

No, there is no way in hell this belongs in the NF section. That's a fairly insulting assumption. This kind of vomit is most certainly yours alone, dear NT's.
    Please take responsibility.

    Thanks!

    "Neurotic, ha!"
I let out a scornful laugh.

Nice little game of transactional analysis we all had going here together, wasn't it?

Nice way to miss the point completely.

My suggestion was explicitly stated as being based on you guys coming over and wanting to approach this thread in a traditional NF fashion.

Which leads to the obvious resposne: If you're going to come over and criticize how the NTs are approaching things and try to change this into an NF love/hopefest, then maybe we should just put the thread over in your section.

    Make sense that time?

Oh, I'm so sorry! I missed the part where you were the only one suggesting it. And no, of course no one else suggested that it should be moved in terms of "omg can't have something this emotional on an NT forum!".

Lack of perception on my part, clearly.

Glad we have that figured out, yay!

Whoa, really now, is this necessary?

You don't know what I was suggesting or where I was going.

I am tired of my approach being lumped into some limp NF spineless hippie-love approach. I can take my own path to get where I want and just because all the steps aren't neatly laid out in advance doesn't make the journey any less viable or important, nor would it be an easy one.

I didn't say all the NT advice presented is "bad" either - heck, ocean reads like a tool most of the time. But I saw a glimmer in there that was interesting to me and I briefly commented on it, albeit in a vague fashion, which obviously appeared to cause some offense. That's all.

Don't misinterpret my intentions any further please.

    Wha....?
    You're not a hippy?
That whole "Peacebaby" name threw me off, sigh.
I *hate* it when that happens.

Srsly... It wasn't as much a misinterpretation as what I still believe you were doing.
    We can agree to disagree.
And you are perfectly free to disagree with me, as you have here.

I don't have anything else to add.

^ I can honestly tell you I personally was not willing to go there - it was not what I was trying to do here. I was merely waxing eloquent out loud.

If you don't believe me, that's your prerogative. I have no reason to deceive.

I would contribute in a minor way though, if it felt relevant. But I didn't offer to hold anyone's hand here.

Okay. We're taking it elsewhere anyway, so I won't muddy up the thread further. Ocean can go back to his, uh, regularly schedule rant or something....

I didn't know NTs were forbidden from having emotional rants. If I'm to be considered special for this then fine. I'm special! Yay.

Contemplative. Basically what I see here is that everyone read into my post what they wanted, ranging from their feeling that I violated social norm, to their resentment for my perceived fictional feeling of superiority, to some compliments for being a unique NT, and lots more interesting stuff. I'll come back and read it all sometimes.

NTs seem to have had lots of fun pointing out all possible flaws in what I've said AS IF that was assembly source code. Damn I used to do this too... I felt smart at the time

Consider it poetry... it triggered emotions... everyone saw something different in it... it's GOOD poetry. If you want to flame me for posting on NT instead of NF fine - I just thought I'd throw the match where the gasoline's at

And consider it a detective story. This is the part where the detective walks into a bar and starts calling people names just to figure out who the bad guys are and who's got something to hide. It's called mapping the landscape, and stirring s**t up. I'm sure Powerful Optimization Processes as described in Creating Friendly AI would do this at times.

I can say I am now in my comfort zone with regards to the bandwidth and diversity of the input I have received. I was seriously starting to get bored prior to this. Now data is flowing. I like it

Peace to all! Peace is the prime directive.
I wanted to write something back but you are probably not worth the effort so Ill stop. Oh and congrats on you figuring us out, now dont lose that notebook, Id not like to have all my secrets out.

PS: look at title to post please to sum up my thoughts on this thread and beyond.
