    Default ENTP:ENFP dating (Bad idea)

ENFPs and ENTPs are drawn together like flies to rotting meat it seems. The mutual Ne makes for quite the adventure.

As a friendship this can be fun, if argumentative at times.

However dating can be a bit problematic:

The ENFP will naturally want to understand her mate in a bit more depth. She shows her enthusiasm and endless affection by using blunt objects to pry open his skull at about where his neck connects to his spine, and seeking to dissect his mind and soul. Then she will offer helpful suggestions about how to fix all the flaws she found-or something like that. Or like this:

    http://www.typologycentral.com/forum...-se-entps.html
    http://www.typologycentral.com/forum...-fe-entps.html

At some point some resentment and/or potential Fi/Ti confusion may ensue. It can be a bit rocky at times and may look like this:

Eventually things can get a little out of hand.

    The ENFP:

    and the ENTP:

can end up not always ending things on the best note:

If you happen to stumble across Type C in search of more information about the endless love and commitment of the ENTP:ENFP romantic relationship, well, your fucking screwed buddy, run while you can before she tries to kill you in your sleep.

    So funny!

Date, friendship, any kind of close relationships?

If they have their Fi matured, tempered and in check by other functions, great, it'd be a pretty cool thing to explore. Awesome Ne-Ne connection, and I have tons of fun and laughter.

Otherwise, I have no patience for deliberately wanting to walk over such emotional minefields, manipulation, with unpredictable, chaotic misreadings of offense on my part due to their biased, whimsical Fi interpretations. When asked for evidence for the error of my ways, no tangible evidence can be given...only subjective Fi-based misrepresentation of my pov. Disgusting.

This is mostly seen in those NFs where Fi and emotionally imbalanced go hand in hand, perhaps, even bordering on histrionics.

The issue is an individual's Fi. Surprise!

I met a wonderful (confirmed) ENTP, he was ridiculously smart, humble, creative, and, unfortunately, for all intents and purposes... mute.

I've also met a pretty outspoken (confirmed) INTP who was ridiculously smart, humble, creative, sooooo fucking kind, gentle, and sadly, too soft for me.

But, to be honest, I can imagine my older self really wanting/preferring the company of a gentle and kind, brilliant NTP.

Every histrionic person I have ever met has been either an unhealthy T, or an Fe user.

I find attention-seeking emotional acts to be inherently DISGUSTING.

    Emotional responses should be SINCERE.

I don't know if this is an Fi thing, or a me thing, but as emotionally sensitive as I am, in my past relationships I have been accused of *holding back* and being generally avoidant of confrontation.

And I am guilty of both counts.

Due to my sensitive understanding of how emotional contagion works, I will often try my hardest to keep things in, till I have them fully figured out, which is unhealthy to an extent, in order to salvage the temporary health of the relationship.

I've NEVER been accused of being/acting histrionic, NO ONE who knows me would EVER describe me being remotely as such.

I'm sorry, but I've met histrionic assholettes, before, and, I can't stand them.

I view them as soulless, and oftentimes, evil.

Look into their eyes and you see the void.

    *shudders*

Honestly, either you're not understanding Fi, or you are improperly using the term histrionic.

    Fi is about AUTHENTICITY!!!!!!

    Fi is about AUTHENTICITY!!!!!!

Maybe you're showing your bias towards Fi, if you think that Fi=authenticity means ALL THE TIME.

And, that such authenticity cannot be manipulated to go to its extreme polar opposite - reeking of inauthenticity = histrionics.

Every thing that has a capacity to be good, Fi to be authentic, means that, on its opposite end of the spectrum, it can be manipulated into what I'd perceive as disgustingly gruesome, like Fi=histrionic, and emotionally imbalanced.

You know, unhealthy Fi users. They exist.

Fe, if it is likened to fairness, means at its extreme other end, it can be highly unfair, and selfish.

I've met emotionally imbalanced (bordering on histrionics) Fs and quite a handful of them have been FP...meaning, Fi.

Our experiences don't match up. So...
