I sometimes take notes in Tengwar (which is what the elf runes are called, in case you didn't know). It's the height of geek-dom.
Always listen to experts. They'll tell you what can't be done, and why. Then do it.

"Of course we spent our money in the good times. That's what you're supposed to do in good times! You can't save money in the good times. Then they wouldn't be good times, they'd be 'preparation for the bad times' times."

"Every country in the world owes money. Everyone. So heere's what I dont get: who do they all owe it to, and why don't we just kill the bastard and relax?"

I've never thought of any one character as my ultimate favourite... they're all so different to each other that you can't really put them side by side and compare them and say "I like this one better". Edmond Dantès, Quintinius Verginix, D'Artagnan, Edward Fairfax Rochester, Thursday Next, Folly (in Moriae Encomium) and more besides... can't possibly pick one. I could try to say "the one I relate to most", but to say that was my favourite would (falsely) imply I liked them more than the others on that account.

So... bear that in mind when I say: D'Artagnan

And the actor I believe portrayed him the best (or in line with how I imagine him from reading the books) in any of the movie/TV adaptations of Dumas' work, is Vincent Elbaz (2nd from left)

I'm male and over 30, FYI.

Hmm. If I'd have to pick only one, I would say Artemis Fowl
