Marketing...I'd never figure that to be an ENTP thing. I've been around too many, well one ENTP, who was a self-described 'scientist' who did computer science. Is it the front of house or back of house function of marketing - analysis or customer relations...curious.

Both. My job is essentially to know things and tell people what they should do.

ENTPs are great at marketing, I think.

So like a behaviour/action programmer/delegator, I see. I smell management material.

Mostly I educate and guide. I help make things seem not so complicated. I also seem to fall into the role of making people feel like they know what to do by being confident. A lot of the time people don't know what to do, so if you can push them a little to one side or the other they can move forward.

Lol, those poor prostitutes :) Are most ENTPs engineers of some kind? Just a hunch... Do ENTPs not know how to cook? :p
I'm an excellent cook. I sometimes get asked if I've worked as a chef.
I use my Ne to come up with delicious flavour-combinations:newwink:
Dinner guest: «What did you put in this fantastic sauce?»

Me: «I really don't remember all of it.»

Hey I work in management kinda stuff! Then again i'm just doing an internship and I've already decided I couldn't do it for more than a year or two.

Marketing...I'd never figure that to be an ENTP thing.

If one type is best at marketing, it's easily ENTPs. Highly creative area where success typically requires a lot independent ideas and the ability to challenge convention. In my HR consulting work, had an experience with a now fired ESTJ female marketing exec who was a grad of an elite college, and was extremely frustrated by poor sales of the products she oversaw. She began relying heavily on an ENTP associate who graduated from a state school and had a far better understanding of broader industry trends and an ability to perceive customer needs that weren't that obvious.

INTPs tend to be the nutty professor types who understand products, but not marketing. Seen cases where they create technologies they fall in love with that nobody wants to buy. Still, even they're better at marketing than STJs.

Go to uni/college, I'm sure there'd be plenty hanging around the grounds there. I wouldn't be found at dance clubs and stuff, I'd rather go somewhere that you can drink and chat, bars and whatever... if I even go at all. I know one ENTP dude that's into religion (it seems to be more for the social aspect than anything else), so you can really find ENTPs anywhere. It really shouldn't be hard to find an ENTP because they're meant to have a diverse range of interests though really. I remember going to a place called the woolshed at about 4 am, and I was surprised to find a definite INTP and what looked like a whole heap of NTs hanging around chatting and drinking near the casino machines there. They're definitely out there :D. Oh, and my chemistry class was packed full of ENTPs not so long ago, they were loud and extremely silly and liked to discuss things like hypercubes.

Hah, dead on! :D

I never cook the same meal twice, otherwise I would've kept a cooking-journal, or made cooking-reports(is the word I am looking for here called recipy? And the concept, called cookbook?)

My ENTP husband works in marketing and is an awful cook. When I first met him, he thought he was a great cook because he put massive amounts of Tabasco in everything. Places he can be found: 1. in front of the computer working 2. in front of the computer not working 3. on the phone working 4. on the phone not working 5. watching sports on TV 6. at the local pub drinking microbrews and scoffing at people drinking PBR
