Well, I wasn't feeling antsy and insecure but I am now...

That analysis rings truer than I'd like.

By well-adjusted do you mean being normal, conforming, if then, I am proud not to be well-adjusted. If you mean being anxious, worrying, neurotic, then I am the opposite of that, I could care less if someone doesn't accept me for how I am, I'm generally very relaxed, nonchalant and if I ever do get worked up it doesn't last very long. On a related note, this balanced/unbalanced notion has little to do with jungian type, why in the world is INTP(esp males) the only type being singled out as "maladjusted", it can literally apply to any type in varying situations. So I'm a carefree weirdo, ha ha ha ha.

I pretty much see the gender preceding type principle getting applied here and one possible reality check being pitting each against an ESFJ of the same gender, and what I think is likely to hold true more than not, all else being equal, is that the females will retaliate in manner more similar to, for lack of a better corollary, ESTJish manner earlier than their male counterparts will.

You should find yourself a nice SP boy instead, given the fact that there is an extremely high chance that you're actually an ISFJ.
Listen to me, baby, you got to understand, you're old enough to learn the makings of a man.

I'll give you weird but you come across as anything but neurotic...

Why don't they think they can? I want to get to the bottom of this.
Is it that they experience persistent rejection when they interact as themselves? I can't see that. You see women on here swooning about INTP guys all the time. It's the same for the ones I know IRL (even the gay ones!) You don't see that for INTP females. Most people think, if we exist at all, that there's something very wrong with us (even INTP men think this!). People tell me all the time that I'm not like anyone they've met before (how much weirder can one get?)
    And yet...
I have no problem being an initiator. In fact, I prefer it.
    What gives??
You're smart, Jock, figure it out.

agreed not neurotic, but I think that few people end up getting to know most of everything, or even more than half or a third about such people (myself included)

Might be partly due to what I said in the last paragraph. & as for INTP women...

I don't have this or this sort of an opinion of INTP women.. granted though that I don't think I know one irl... at least am not aware of knowing one even if I do.

How much does socializing drain you? especially with ESs? & maybe even Js (Ts being kinda easier to navigate around/with)

I've never thought there was something very or even slightly wrong with you.

When someone tells me that I'm not like anyone they've met before, I consider it a compliment, and one that is less likely motivated by flattery.

Maybe you're not fully comfortable with your INTP-ness?
