I'm sure my high school teachers probably suspected it too.
Teachers and counsellors in that level tend to be ESFJs.. the trusted people in charge. Then when you move up the school ladder, the teachers you encounter tend to be ESTJs.
You say they suspected it, too .. I am sure they did, but they did not act.

The ESFJs act.. that is because they are emotional, they FEEL indignation and resentment.
It may be overpowering. The ESTJs do not take it so much to their heart. They do not take it so personally. Not if you are a school kid.

In the end, the ESTJ is more dangerous. God forbid if you are his/her daughter, or son, and you are a true INP. All hell breaks loose. If no drugs is found, then it is only worse.
You may end up in a mental hospital. In the 60s the average cure was lobotomy.

That is because of the mental build up of the ESJs. They have to find out the reason for the offspring's oddness. If it is not drugs, then it has to be madness.

The basic problem on the ground level is the ESJs absurd faith in authority figures. The specialists are in the know. What a doctor says is true.

Today it is not much better. The social sector is involved, and the police.
There is a lot of ESJs around in both places. The social workers take the kid away from home, and the police place her in a juvenile prison, on account of a suspected drug abuse. It does not need to be proven. The prison is a lot better than a mental institution, though.

what? people are so easily perturbed... I mean their world is so small that they actually think that a simple thing like that is a sign someone's on drugs??

geez, I'd just say it was a sign of someone who's distracted or preoccupied, could be by any number of things, but most likely, their own thoughts.

Last three weeks I've been working my ass off and people have repeatedly asked me if I was using amphetamine. The thing *I* myself felt like I had used it, too (even though I hadn't, of course)... Go figure. Maybe I was just too J for myself? :P

I'm not an NTP, but I've had people tease me about being spaced out a lot and drugs are often brought into the mix. I've never touched the stuff and nobody has ever asked me seriously, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few strangers here and there who don't know me better might wonder given how much I tend to day-dream or get lost in my own thoughts whenever given the chance. I think normally I'm just considered a head-in-the-clouds oddball though, but a friendly one that people don't need to be worried about. Perhaps NFs get away with it easier than NTs? At any rate I imagine it must be incredibly annoying for people to really, truly think you're high when you're not. It would certainly annoy me personally anyway.

Heh, from my experiences (nine years ago, mind you), amphetamine doesn't give me a happy feeling, it just makes me very intense, sharp, extremely concentrated, awake, and... fast... Also somewhat detached from everything, especially feelings, be it mine or others (Fe goes LOW). There is a certain feeling in the body, too, but it's hard to explain. Something like a constant little vibration. Oh, and you can't get to sleep.

And that's exactly how I feel every time I'm working really hard, e.g. last three weeks. No, I didn't sleep more than 3 hrs a night last three weeks.

It's like I'm storming around, working and talking really intense and like in FFW mode, bossing everyone in sight, and I have no time nor am I willing to think about anything else, esp such mundane things like how to "cushion" my then-sharp words to those crybabies F-s. I'm like: "Get to work, dammit, and stop whining!!! We can deal with those issues later when we have finished the IMPORTANT stuff!"

I can be a real bitch ENTJ if deadlines are close. Like brother, like sister... *sigh* (But the difference is, I really do deal with those issues later, take them out and get everyone to speak and relax, making sure they know they are appreciated and their work recognized well. I may not be good at it, but at least I'm trying, OK?)

So - no point in using drugs (drugs are baaad, believe me, and I'm talking from first-hand experience!), you can just work your ass off. Much healthier, too. Might be just as addictive, though.

    ------------
    edit:
OK, I'm always a bitch, but I'm WAY bitchier when deadlines are close.
