I didn't become a WoW nerd until long after I got with my INTP. And he got me hooked on the internet so I would see the value of paying for the service, then bought me my own computer so he wouldn't have to share his.

His evil plan totally worked, but now he thinks I neglect him (the tables have turned!) and he doesn't play or have any interest in WoW. Poor old Charlie Brown.

I hope my amusement about this doesn't make me a sociopath.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

I don't know what exactly the type is like, but I'll repost part of my previous message relating to this:

"I think, though I'm not sure (and this is the question plaguing me for the past week) that I am attracted to women who are a little bit complex (?), structured/firm (planning wise), reliable, socially adept/extraverted, positive in their outlook and who can also pay some attention to or challenge my ramblings. Is this a specific type I have in mind or is it too general?"

If that's an ENTJ then sure. But the passionate phase will probably only last until I'm no longer intrigued by her strengths (relative to me) and complexity; after that I think its more of a great friendship with wonderful sex until one or both of us realises this.

Well, a lot of INTP's wouldn't voice it right away, because at the time, it really doesn't matter! Speaking for myself, I have a really high tolerance of doing what other people want to do. I just go with the flow. When I want to do what I want to do - I usually don't want hangers on/company. I go AWOL a little bit. Either that, or if company does want to come ...you do what I want to do! That's when problems start. I could see an ENTJ getting really frustrated with this and leaving or blowing up in anger.
