I like banter, especially teasing and intellectual banter (which usually ends up being pseudo-intellectual, but that's okay). Also, I like the absurdist kind, where each person adds on to ridiculous scenario building, until someone says "alright, you went too far."

My best back-and-forths are usually with xNxPs.

I love banter, but after a few minutes of it, it gets boring. I start wondering when we can stop the pretense and be normal. I don't like obsessively banter-y tv shows, either, ala Aaron Sorkin stuff. A little goes a long way. Too much calls attention to itself and not what's being said.

I banter, I mock, I pun. I'm Canadian and dry wit is more prevalent here than in the US. I mostly find other Canadians, Brits, or Aussies "get" my brand of humor, with Americans it often falls flat. One of the big draws of the other forum I'm on is the silly wordplay, INTJs excel at that.

Yes, this has been my experience also. I'm not particularly patriotic, but in this respect, I'm very happy with where I'm from.
