Well perhaps I am calling it manipulation because that's what it feels like to me,
and perhaps you would call it something else,
and surely you would because INTPs are precise with their words that way.

Besides, the name of this thread is rant on INTPs,
    is it not?

INFPs tend to be obsessed with integrity. They dont make good phonies.

Usually when they are perceived as dishonest, they are misunderstood.

Well, maybe your data is wrong.

Surely you have seen all the bad things people say about INTJs, as well.
I know. My feelings are hurt easily, I have a high Neurosis factor. Don't worry about it.

It is the confusion I was aiming to to clear up. This thread, and I thought the other "Rant on..." threads were supposed to be for constructive criticism (a concept apparently lost on most people in this forum).

    I disagree too.

I hardly think that a type so easily given to those behaviors could be rated across the board as the best type of human being there is -
I know that's not an exact quote.

Well, okay, they may know it, but you can't prove to me that they act it out.
Ah, forum people....that'll explain it. They can be quite rude. Any INTPs in real life? Most that I know in real life may have moments where the negative stereotypes hold, but are generally doing rather well in life despite a few episodes.

Again, what caused you to feel manipulated? Forum again? or real life?

I don't understand why people would rather live a lie.
Again, what causes you to say this? Most INFPs I know are very honest people.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. You could believe that all INTPs are actually demon-spawn and INFPs are aliens, and you'd still be entitled to that opinion. But I would ask for clarification for why you believe that as well.

Look. I am not going to argue with you.
    You think I am wrong.
I think you are wrong - in this particular instance.

What's the point of making a claim if you're not going to attempt to support it?

Ooooooh! Sorry, I didn't know that.

Yes, the INTPs I refered to are 3 in particular that I know their type for sure.
But my "small sample" automatically makes me wrong.

    Real life.

I would never have bet a Hershey bar on it.
I can't remember other INFPs off the top,
but the one I know the best is my sister.

We are talking about INTPs, not INTJs.
