Default NTs Blowing Hot and Cold??

I freakin' ADORE you NTs out there - perfect mindmates!!! I actually crave the mental stimulation and thought provoking debates!! Love love LOVE you NTs!! HOWEVER, lol, the challenge for me is how NTs tend to blow hot and cold... May or may not want to answer the phone, may or may not want to respond to texts, may or may not want to hang out, may or may not fall off the edge of the earth and resurface as if nothing happened... At times, they can be so COMPLETELY PRESENT and ENGAGING, at other times, completely DETACHED and REMOVED. How does one look past what could be perceived as the MIXED SIGNALS - and find out what an NT's "truth" is. If ENFPs send "mixed signals" through so called "flirtatious" (I prefer the term "friendly") behaviors, then don't NTs send "mixed signals" through their periodic withdrawal? Yes? No?

Ha ha! I won't argue that one!

But I also have a TON of NT friends - same behavior patterns...

From my perspective, it's not withdrawal - it's perfectly normal behavior. Sometimes I want to hang out with other friends, sometimes I just want to read a book. I think that those who want to be around me every second of every day are suffering from some sort of disorder. I know it seems mean (sorry), but I really think that way.

I hear ya jenocyde - makes perfect sense. This is where the NFs like me have a learning curve as far as not taking it *personally.* Damn FEELING processing. I grasp your concept intellectually and conceptually, the feeling part of me grapples with it however in every day PRACTICE. Curse!

I dont like spending time with the same people for a long time on a daily basis.
It gets boring. Also, though pretty rare, fear of getting bored of him/her.

    that's it.

I also wonder if NTs ever feel "other" because of this trait, as they may feel that their *natural* way of being doesn't fit the expectations of others?? Just like ENFPs sometimes feel "other" because their *natural* way of being in the world (creating a high level of rapport w/others and then being accused of flirting), doesn't seem to fit with many people's *idea* of what is to be expected or not. It's like the world keeps telling us (each on our own ways) "you're doing it wrong!" lol...

I still think she has a type/c user account and is watching all this.
everyone uses every function about evenly. take NE for example. if there are those who don't use it much, then why are there such massive amounts of people constantly flowing through Wallmart with 20 items or less?
