I don't get ideas from books perse.
And really ajblaise, how should I put it. You don't really seem to be the smartest person on this forum. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I ain't. Who cares. And I won't start the 'nf job' of telling how you seem to be sending the frustrated self proclaimed intellectual( for lack of any 'other' skill or gift ) vibe around you at relativity defying speeds.

Just saying that this constant appropriation of 'the intp pride' and the idea that every worthy work made by someone with half a brain has to come from an intp is really such a ridiculous statement that I don't even know where to begin to describe its profound wrongness and shortsightedness.

If I ever was interested anough to talk about it that is.

Which'll never happen.

I don't think you understand. I was making fun of untypable's post. Maybe you need to be less sensitive about type-versus-type trash talkin.

I was simply commenting on ur comment using the same type of generalization you used. btw.
Ps: I'm not sensitive, 'm just saying what I think. Which isn't the same.

You took the comment too seriously. That's what messed up your point.

No one really thinks that ENTPs get their ideas from books... they don't read. They get them from TV and hearsay.

i disagree. ENTP read more than you would think.

you think that because it doesn't 'interest' an ENTP they wouldn't be bothered, but i haven't met an ENTP yet that doesn't read considerable amounts, just of a very narrow topic, a streak of interest.

I though the thread was about hatred, not the weaponization of boring comments.

Have you ever had them flat out misrepresent your argument if they are proven wrong and you proven correct? I don't know if that's a general 'unhealthy ENTP thing' or a 'annoying ENTP I work with' thing.

By misrepresenting, you mean re-boxing what you've just said to mean something entirely different?

I am seeing an ENTP and he is absolutely delightful to be around.

He's pretty close to perfection in a match with me, however, since we are talking shortcomings here, here are my first impressions (before my idealist rose coloured goggles are permanently in place)...

Messy
Unreliable
Self absorbed
No time management skills
Can seem arrogant at times

But all in all, he's the best fit so far...and a million, bazillion times easier to get on with then my ex INTP. Sheesh...I feel like someone applied an enzyme to my love life...and...I...can..actually..make...contact...with him.

Thanks for that! :) It's nice to hear from another enfj on the subject too.

In my personal experience, ENTPs have been easier to deal with than INTPs in a romantic scenario. This isn't me slagging all INTPs, it's the ones I've known were really great and married, or not great, remote and temperamental.

I felt pretty frozen out when I was seeing an INTP. Playtime was strictly verbal and I felt like I was always initiating that anyway. I know they're not all like that, but I have yet to meet one that isn't married if he's relaxed and balanced. Met two of them I would have loved to drag to my cave, but married is married. And well, you awesome sexy INTP girls, I wish I batted for your team, but I duzzen't. :(

The ENTP would just walk over, grab me and the wrestling would commence, so he had no problem with touching me. We spent all our time harassing each other for laughs. He was terribly funny and had the best poker face. I managed to really destroy him laughing a few times and I was quite proud of myself. :D

it's true. i feel my way through the internet.

That's hott.

I've experienced two forms. The first one is what you mention... I think. By reboxing, do you mean they will listen to your words at a surface level, but take whatever meaning they desire out of them?

The other type of 'twisting' I've noticed comes from a work colleague of mine, which hardly represents all ENTPs, but will do for purposes of this thread. :D

He'll ask my advice on something I specialize in, but disregard and mock my advice if it's not what he was expecting. Afterward, if something breaks, he'll actually completely change my advice, claiming I told him to do whatever foolish thing he ended up doing. I'm sure part of that is just to screw with my head and annoy me, but then he takes it too far and tells people connected to upper management that he was doing fine until he listened to Udog's advice.

- usually don't give a fuck
- pompous
- arrogant
- insensitive
- stubborn
- always has to have the last word
- everything in life is win or lose...with them the 'winner' and you the 'loser'
- doesn't understand that sarcasm isn't for everyone
- restless/reckless/relentless
- ruthless delivered with a smile
- convoluted in wording sometimes
- procastinators
- shit-stirrers
- finds others' frustrations funny often
- appears silly/goofy/approachable/charming/childlike but can turn cold and calculating within the blink of an eye
- impatient with those they consider 'unintelligent', unless they're in the mood to impart knowledge
- if crossed, takes the 'revenge' thing too far (depends on what is defined as revenge, some ENTPs justify it as, 'oh, they really really are wanting me to respond, so...I shall')
- constant frustration to those (Fs mostly) with flightiness of showing caring/emotion/depth....one second make you feel like you inspired them to poetic prophecies, next make you feel like they only vaguely recall who you are
- unpredictable
- attention spa....
- hard to guage if they're laughing with you or at you
- not very organized, nor sequential in thought
- very few things in life are *not* a joke to them
- ASSHOLES!!!!

I HATE YOU, ENTPs!!!

* no!!!....don't touch me! Just...DIE!

I kind of get the vibe that some ENTPs can be kind of selective and have high standards. It's hard to explain, but I feel that ENTPs can be a little cold when you're not talking to them about some intellectual masterpiece or aren't engaging in something that interests them..and they can be noticeably reserved and cold.
