Can anybody help?

extroverted sensing (Se) vs extroverted intuition (Ne) and introverted intuition (Ni) vs. introverted sensing (Si) are the key factors.

Both types are guided by their inner feelings. Both may struggle at times to express their feelings.

But Ne naturally gives space for the INFP to explore their feelings, while Se is about being in the moment. As such, ISFPs struggle more than INFPs while in the grip of inferior Te (extroverted Thinking). Tertiary Ni locks them into a smaller range of possibilities and limits their ability to perceive the future.

ISFPs are more likely to be living embodiments of their values. INFPs tend to be more intellectual and care for abstract ideas, while ISFPs are more down to earth and practical.

Tert Si provides INFPs a reference point to interpret the present. But that can be limiting in its own way (as everyone over estimates how good they are with their tertiary function).

ISFPs tend to have a different career focus than INFPs.

Also many people are mistyped as INFPs. Over 50% of all women are SFs. INFPs are not that common and many are really ISFJs....
