Being an ENFP is a mixed blessing. Sometimes I wish I wasn't. I wish I had an off-button. I wish I could tone down the intensity. I wish I could get to work on time. I wish I cared about getting to work on time. Yeah, I wanna throw a pity party.

This thread is for us ENFPs, but if other types wanna drop in words of empathy or encouragement, I won't bite them... hard.

P.S. FUBU stands for For Us By Us (I think).

EDIT: FUBAO means For Us By Us And Others.

Most every type has periods where they just don't want to be themselves.

Tho if it makes you feel better I wouldn't mind being an ENFP for a bit. You guys just seem like you're having a lot of fun all the time and are able to get along with people much more famously.

Also, when you're on your deathbed looking back at life do you think you'll remember the times when you got to work on time or the times where you were living life at 120% intensity and changing the lives of all around you.

Edit: Random thought... by other types participating in this party of yours the BU part of FUBU goes out the window and just becomes FU. Funny I know :p

It is true. This one's For Us ENFPs. I just hope I'm not the only one...

Shut it, foo! *sigh* I can't help myself... I can't restrict another human being based on their type. Oy.

EDIT: I forgot to thank you for the kind words, so: Thank you for the kind words.

Let's be AWESOME instead...

YES!

This is a pity party, lady! Now take that stereotypical ENFP can-do attitude to the "God is in the face of every ENFP" thread that does not exist.

:hi:

Oh yeah, I wish I was never late for work, but I don't care enough to change that. So, I wish to care about being late.

I wish my car was clean. Hell, I wish I could keep it clean. I wish I wasn't such a mess, but then again, if I wasn't a mess that means that I would always been cleaning up and I don't like cleaning.

I would like the option of an off button, but I'd probably never use it. I like myself for the most part, just get fed up with the small stuff.

If I had a full time person that cleaned up for me and did all the things that I avoid doing, I'd probably be one of those super happy happy people that most people can't stand being around for a long time. So all in all, it is probably better for humanity that I have those little quirks that annoy even myself.

Love me some ENFPs

Hello there,
As an INFJ male I can tell you that female ENFPs and INFPs are the spiffiest things going. No contest.

This is my first post here ever.

Okay, I am ready to be attacked now.

Love,
- Me

There's nothing quite like coming home after hanging out with other friends to an ENFP roommate talking about how you can craft your own porno name using your middle name and the name of the street where you grew up. After that part of the conversation, I couldn't help but stay up 'till midnight discussing :D

It's so funny because I feel the exact same way! I always catch myself saying "I wish I was more this but i really don't feel like doing that". i feel like a grown child.

I don't know if I'd give up being an INTP given the choice, but I do think ENFPs and INFJs are the best types (and probably the most logical in terms of living life).

Highly subjective, of course.

Thanks :) That's basically how I see myself as well.

Wrong! It's your childhood pet's name and the street you grew up on!

INxJ. Try it. Still have compassion for folks at times but have the INTJ strategy, focus, and efficiency, yet get that perfecionist draw from the INFJ side to improve your social EQ and other knowledge related to social skills. I just stay on the T side more but its low.

Umm.

I wouldn't want to intrude on your self-pitying. Carry on.

Pffffft, we're not self-pitying, and you know you're curious. ;) You've always wanted to know how we tick but just...can't....get.....it....

Well, I can understand how hard it must be with all the pressure on you, not feeling like you can live up to what you need to live up to. And it's probably uncomfortable and embarrassing at times. I understand why you'd want things to be easier for you.

But what I would suggest to you is that you try harder to appreciate how you are. Perhaps consider taking a job with more flexible hours or something, going to places where people tend to be intense... finding friends who don't mind it. I think you're better off trying to fit your life around who you are than chastising yourself for not being who you think you should be. I mean, would you really want to change yourself? Of course, I can't say I've never done anything like this to myself, but I'm pretty sure it's still good advice.

Sorry it's been hard on you so far. I hope you have better luck later on.

I always thought that ticking was a timer connected to explosives. I really don't care to get closer to find out if that's actually true.
