Ah yes, now I can grasp the school child stereotypes. I love stereotyping! :D

  • ESP: The hyperactive child who always gets his name written on the board.
  • ISJ: The kid who says "Oooooohhh!!!" when you do something wrong.
  • ENP: The kid that other kids think is weird and crazy.
  • INJ: The shy little kid who plays alone in the corner.
  • EFJ: The girly girls who engage in tea party games.
  • IFP: The kid who constantly hangs out with one other person.
  • ETJ: The kid who beats you up and takes your lunch money.
  • ITP: The math and science whiz.

EFJ: The girly girls who engage in tea party games.

Umm, what about EFJ boys? I'm really curious about that. EFJs are almost always described as girls.

Back on topic:

book - Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen Elizabeth - INFJ
movie - Uptown Girls Molly Gunn (portrayed by Brittany Murphy) - ENFP
movie/play - A Raisin In The Sun Walter Lee Younger (played by Sidney Poitier) - ENFJ
book - Mansfield Park by Jane Austen Fanny Price - INFP
movie - Amelie Amelie - INFP

And don't you forget it!

Here I thought I was the only one with an overdeveloped maternal instinct . . .

So many twists and turns to the "INFJ doorslam". Who would have thought pink fluffy sharks could be so complicated.

Hmmm...well, since we're stereotyping, anyway, I would have no shame in classifying the male EFJ as a very...special little boy! :static:

book - Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen Elizabeth - INFJ
movie - Uptown Girls Molly Gunn (portrayed by Brittany Murphy) - ENFP
movie/play - A Raisin In The Sun Walter Lee Younger (played by Sidney Poitier) - ENFJ
book - Mansfield Park by Jane Austen Fanny Price - INFP
movie - Amelie Amelie - INFP

I thought Amelie was more INFJ.

That kid in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl is an INFP, though.

Other NFs:

Edward Scissorhands, Edward Scissorhands - INFP

Edward Bloom, Big Fish - ENFP

Edward D. Wood, Jr., Ed Wood - ENFP (Not fictional, but a movie character)

Lydia, Beetlejuice - INFP

King Kong, King Kong - ENFP

The Kid Who Sees Dead People, The Sixth Sense - INFJ

Frankenstein's Monster, Frankenstein - ENFP

Sue Storm, Fantastic Four - ENFJ

Forrest Gump, Forrest Gump - ENFP

Peter Pan, Peter Pan - ENFP

Bastian, The Neverending Story - INFP

Christina Ricci's character, Casper - INFJ

Casper the Friendly Ghost, Casper - ENFP

The Phantom, The Phantom of the Opera - INFP

Grandfather, Prey (video game) - INFJ

Jen, Prey (video game) - INFJ

The Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - INFP

Donkey from Shrek - ENFP? I say N, because of the way he skips around from topic to topic in a very dominant-Ne kind of way, and F because he's all about what feels good and makes people happy. Anyone?

I wonder what Don Quixote is... he seems like he could be an INFP to me because he has such incredible imagination to the point where people think he is insane (which he is), but he can also be very sensible to the point people think he is a charming and reasonable fellow. I think he might be an INFP just because that behavior also describes me quite well...

Christopher Robin is probably INFP, too. He imagines a world and his stuffed friends all have rich personalities.

Anyone have any opinions about Sal Paradise and Dean Moriarty? I think Dead is probably an ISFP, and Sal might be INFP or INFJ... Dean seems like a doer and Sal like a more passive kind of guy. Great book.

OMG

Frankenstein's Monster, Frankenstein - ENFP

Casper the Friendly Ghost, Casper - ENFP
Hmm...

Donkey from Shrek - ENFP?

HAHAHAHAH -- I know we are sourcing from popular media and movies, but Frankenstein's monster??/ OMG.

Casper -- okay, he's a cute curious kid. I can see that.

Donkey? OHHH GOOOOD. Isn't donkey the annoying comic foil within a world of comic foils?

Are we Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars, too?

Are ENFPs so 'childlike' and goofy that we make good fodder for amusing cartoon characters and um...monsters? OMG, I'm having a flash of Joe Pesci going, "Am I clown to you? You think I'm funny? etc. etc. etc."

And are you referring to Frankenstein the book or the Robert DeNiro movie or the Gene Wilder flick or?

I'm not arguing that these fictional characters are or aren't ENFP because I believe you can't type fictional characters and it's more an exercise for the people doing it and reading it. But the fact that people actually think these characters are ENFP... :violin: (for me)

*sigh*

And yes I do find all this amusing. And also illuminating.

Has anyone read 'The God of Small Things' by Arundhati Roy?

I finished that a few weeks ago and **adored** it. I feel like the two twins in that book were both NF's....possibly INFP's?? And their mother and the 'God' of the story could have both been NF's as well....although with the mother I'm not sure whether she'd be an NT instead....
